Needs to be purchased with a single Hearing Aid to receive the transmitted sounds.

Oticon’s Contralateral Routing Of Signal, or CROS, is for those who suffer from single sided deafness. The CROS system works by using a transmitter in the ear with loss to pick up the sounds from that side and sending them wirelessly to a receiver in your other ear. The BiCROS works similarly whilst also providing support for loss you may be suffering in the ear with the receiver.

Oticon CROS is compatible with the following models from them;
Intent

Opn S

Oticon Intent

£3,995 per pair
£1,895 per aid

How it works

Intent is the latest innovation from Oticon. Their new platform; Sirius has a high processing capacity giving you the full, open sound scene, whilst simultaneously powering their 4D user-intent sensor technology. This detects your head and body movements, whilst several acoustic sensors detect sound level, signal-to-noise ratio, and conversation activity. These enable Oticon Intent to combine the different inputs necessary to seamlessly adapt the support it gives you.

MoreSound Intelligence 3.0 processes sound in a way that results in a more natural representation of all sounds in a clear, complete and balanced sound scene. The process runs in several parts: Wind and Handling detection and prevention, scan and analyze, Spatial Clarity Processing, and Neural Clarity Processing. The sound scene is scanned 500 times per second, which results in a precise analysis of all sounds and the complexity of the surroundings.

Virtual Outer Ear consists of three different true-to-life pinna simulations that can be chosen based on your needs. This recreates the lost effect that the shape of the outer ear has on how we hear noise naturally.  Sound is then processed by a Deep Neural Network (DNN). The DNN works more like the brain because it learned through experience, and uses that knowledge to process sound. This makes the DNN capable of creating contrast between identified sounds and suppressing unwanted noise. Both of these offer a more natural sound experience and alleviate the effort of the brain when listening.

The Oticon Intent has direct connectivity to both Smartphone and iPhone devices. This is available on all four performance levels and they also come with Bluetooth connectivity.

Oticon Real

£3,695 per pair
£1,895 per aid

How it works

The Polaris R platform delivers the processing capacity to give you a full and open sound scene experience whilst reducing the effects of disruptive sounds such as; glasses moving, feedback from brushing against the hearing aids as well as natural disruptive sounds such as wind and noise. They use their new SuddenSound Stabiliser and Wind and Handling Stabiliser to ensure a natural experience for users. The platform also includes an onboard Deep Neural Network (DNN) which has been trained with 12 million real-life sound scenes.

MoreSound Intelligence 2.0 processes sound in a way that results in a
more natural representation of all sounds in a clear, complete and
balanced sound scene. The process runs in several parts: Wind and Handling detection and prevention, scan and analyze, Spatial Clarity Processing, and Neural Clarity Processing. The sound scene is scanned 500 times per second, which results in a precise analysis of all sounds and the complexity of the surroundings.

Oticon More

£3,495 per pair
£1,795 per aid

How it works

More works on the premise of giving your brain access to more sounds from your environment. Whilst Hearing Aids commonly would focus on one sound, usually speech, to offer you clarity, the Oticon More gives your brain access to more sounds. This is in keeping with their desire to offer you more from your hearing. The More Hearing Aids work at a high level of speed and precision to make your experience on par with normal hearing.

By using real environments recorded on a 360 microphone as a foundation to train the Oticon More, the MoreSound Intelligence has been developed to process and balance the important sounds in your environment. Using the MoreSound amplifier the Hearing Aid adapts and amplifies the sounds and gives you all the information it needs. Offering your brain more information to comfortably make sense of its environment.

With hearing loss, the brain has to work harder to make sense of sounds. The Oticon ‘BrainHearing’ Technology is a combination of technologies that work together to provide the brain with better conditions to receive the sound signals. The More range uses this technology to make sure that the effort required to listen is vastly reduced.

Technology within Oticon More also works to prevent whistling noises and feedback by detecting them early on and stopping them from being transmitted to you.

The Oticon More has direct connectivity to both Smartphone and iPhone devices. This is available on all three performance levels and they also come with Bluetooth connectivity.

The More is available in three styles; the miniRITE 312, miniRITE R and miniBTE, please note there is an additional charge of £150 per hearing aid for rechargeable versions.

Oticon Opn S

£3,295 per pair
£1,695 per aid

How it works

Oticon’s Opn S range works at a high level of speed and precision to make your experience on par with normal hearing.

With hearing loss, the brain has to work harder to make sense of sounds. The Oticon ‘BrainHearing’ Technology is a combination of technologies that work together to provide the brain with better conditions to receive the sound signals. The Opn S range uses this technology to make sure that the effort required to listen is vastly reduced.

The Opn S starts by using ‘Multiple Speaker Access Technology’, this provides you with enough speakers to access all the sounds that may matter to you. Having multiple speakers means that you receive a 360° sound experience so that even in busy environments you can hear with ease.

The ‘OpenSound Navigator’ ensures that your ability to switch your attention between sounds will be faster and more efficient in different situations. The navigator works by reducing noise so that the sounds that are important to you require less effort to understand.

Breakthrough technology within the Opn S also works to prevent whistling noises and feedback by detecting them early on and stopping them from being transmitted to you.

The Oticon Opn S range has three different performance levels and all come made for iPhone and with Bluetooth for easy device connectivity. They have different levels of technology available dependent upon your needs. The rechargeable styles are an extra £150 per aid.

ConnectClip 3.0

Remote Control 3.0

TV Streamer 3.0

Oticon_ConnectLine_Phone_Adapter_2.0_front_view_900x900px Phone Adapter 2.0

Phone Adapter 2.0

ConnectClip allowing you to make hands-free phone calls and stream music from your Android smartphone, can support Skype and video calls. The ConnectClip will also allow you to listen to someone speaking from a distance using the remote microphone functionality and enable you to discreetly adjust your aids using its remote control function.

TV Streamer can stream sound straight from your TV along with streaming music for high quality sounds via its Bluetooth technology.  With its built-in microphone the streamer can also easily receive calls which allows both the recipient and the caller to hear clearly. This is useful for people who do not own a smartphone.

Phone Adapter makes it possible to connect your hearing aid to a traditional analog landline phone. The solution supports both incoming and outgoing calls. During a call, your hearing aids become a headset and the ConnectClip or Streamer Pro is used as a microphone. Together, they enable convenient, hands-free landline calls.

The Remote Control allows you to control and adjust the volume of your hearing aids, including muting your aids if you wish.  It also allows you to change your hearing aid programs, if you have these within your aids.  Should your batteries be running low it also has a ‘low battery status’ light which will be activated.
